  1. I like both of the President Johnson's quotes. The one that stands out to me the most is the second one. I work in a title 1 school and I truly believe that for some of my students school is an escape. They also know that the only way out of their situation is to get a better education (although the strengths we go as teachers to get them to understand this is a lot!).

  2. I like both of these quotes. I love the one President Johnson quote the most because it talks about how we need to give children a way to overcome poverty. Edward Zigler how the child environment shape young children learning. When providing children a learning environment that is loving, children tend to be comfortable in exploring the world around them.

  3. “It's also the environment that determines a considerable part of the growth and development of children.” -Edward Zigler

Many of your quotes really spoke to me when I read them but this really stood out to me. When I read it What came to my mind is that even though parents should be involved in their childs life but often when they are not a teacher will give up and say well if the parent isnt going to work with them at home then why should I try to work with them at school. The reason is because that is what we are here for regardless of what the parent is or isn't doing we should still WANT to help the child. I know thats the reason I took my job and it should be the reason why anyone who chooses this field as an educator of preschool age children takes this job. GREAT JOB on the quote really got me thinking. LOVE IT!
